Collections with a clear purpose
Map buying intent to collections with enough relevant products to answer it. Improve navigation, collection copy, titles, and links so customers can reach the right range without wading through overlapping pages.
Shopify SEO services / Human-led strategy & delivery
Make your collections easier to discover, your products easier to understand, and your search performance easier to connect to sales. MooseRank brings catalog strategy, technical implementation, and current Shopify platform knowledge to the same engagement.
Start with what the platform already provides
Shopify generates canonical tags, a sitemap, and robots.txt, and gives merchants controls for page titles, descriptions, URLs, and image alt text. Those defaults are a starting point for a coherent store architecture.
The work is deciding which collections deserve visibility, what a product page needs to explain, how variants and filters behave, and whether theme and app output support the intended destination. We review the rendered store and its actual search signals.

The Shopify SEO engagement
We prioritize the catalog, templates, and markets that matter to your business, then agree the implementation and validation responsibilities.
Map buying intent to collections with enough relevant products to answer it. Improve navigation, collection copy, titles, and links so customers can reach the right range without wading through overlapping pages.
Connect specifications, options, images, delivery information, and buying questions to the product template. Use appropriate metafields and reusable sections where they help the team publish consistent, useful product information.
Inspect collection paths, product variants, filter parameters, pagination, canonicals, and internal links together. Select useful search destinations before deciding whether a crawl, indexing, or linking change is appropriate.
Review rendered content, mobile product journeys, images, scripts, and app dependencies on priority templates. Scope theme or Liquid changes with the person responsible for development, then check the affected storefront experience.
Review visible product facts against structured data and connected catalog or feed information. Check variant, price, availability, and product-identifier consistency, plus the store’s eligibility and settings for relevant shopping channels.
Review the markets, languages, domains, and search entrances that actually matter to the business. Connect visibility and organic traffic to recorded purchases where tracking allows, with stock, returns, promotions, and seasonality in view.
Platform briefing / Reviewed October 29, 2026
Recent releases expand product discovery beyond a traditional search result. Here is what the current platform documentation means for a store’s SEO and product information.
Shopify’s Fall ’26 release introduces WebMCP tools for Liquid and Hydrogen storefronts and checkout. They expose structured actions for product search, cart updates, and checkout with buyer approval. The release also expands developer access to catalog and checkout through Shop.dev.
Our focus: accurate product information and a usable store remain essential inputs. Agent shopping tools do not establish Google rankings or ensure that an AI service recommends a product.
Read Shopify’s October 28 release ↗Shopify’s Agentic Storefronts supports product discovery across AI channels for eligible stores. Channel availability and checkout behavior vary; Google AI Mode and Gemini access is still described as a rollout in the current documentation.
Our focus: check eligibility and active channels, then examine the data each channel receives. Product discovery and a completed sale are separate outcomes.
Review Agentic Storefronts ↗Shopify now automatically serves /agents.md, /llms.txt, and /llms-full.txt. These discovery files are separate from Shopify Catalog. Catalog mapping can source information from custom fields and group related products.
Our focus: inspect the store’s real data mapping, product relationships, and policy information. Buying an app solely to generate these default discovery files is not a prerequisite.
Review catalog mapping and agent discovery files ↗With distinct market URLs and language configuration, Shopify Markets generates hreflang relationships, canonical URLs, and international sitemaps. Automatic hreflang can be disabled when an alternative implementation is deliberately maintained.
Our focus: verify the intended market destinations, relevant localized content, and any theme or app duplicates. A translated template alone does not settle the commercial priorities for each country.
Review international SEO for Markets ↗Unlisted status keeps a product available by direct URL while removing it from Shopify-powered collections and search, internet search, Shopify Catalog, and the sitemap. This is a broader visibility decision than hiding a navigation link.
Our focus: use the intended product lifecycle and access requirements to choose a setting. Unlisting a product you want organic shoppers to discover would work against that objective.
Review Shopify product searchability controls ↗Release dates are shown where Shopify supplies them. Current capabilities are checked against the linked documentation; store eligibility, rollout status, and the installed implementation still need individual review.
Illustrative catalog decision / Not client results
Suppose a backpack store has a trail collection, a daypack collection, several color variants, and filtered URLs for capacity. Creating a landing page for every combination would give the team more URLs to maintain without first establishing a distinct customer need.
We compare demand, product depth, existing search entrances, and page overlap. A useful collection can own the broad buying decision while its product pages explain fit, capacity, material, and options.
MooseRank delivery
Start with a kickoff call and access requests. We review the store, priority collections, theme, apps, markets, Search Console, and available purchase tracking. AI agents support opportunity analysis; a human validates the recommendation and oversees implementation.
We agree who changes content, theme code, apps, feeds, and tracking. An existing Shopify store can remain on Shopify. Any major redevelopment or integration is scoped explicitly.
Clients receive monthly conversion reports focused on traffic, impressions, and conversions. For store reporting, we agree the available purchase and revenue measures and interpret them alongside stock, returns, promotions, and other campaigns. Shopify supplies useful technical defaults, including generated sitemaps, robots.txt, and canonical tags, alongside editable SEO fields. Your collection strategy, product information, internal links, theme behavior, apps, and implementation still need store-specific decisions. We inspect the actual storefront rather than assuming the defaults resolve every issue.
Yes. We review your existing store, theme, apps, catalog, markets, access, and development responsibilities before confirming a proposal. A new website or platform migration is not a requirement of the Shopify SEO engagement. Custom themes, headless storefronts, integrations, or major redevelopment need an agreed implementation scope.
We review what Shopify, your theme, and installed apps already provide before recommending another dependency. The priority may be better product information, template changes, clearer collection ownership, or resolving conflicting markup. Any paid app or custom development requirement is discussed as part of scope.
These can all be included in the proposal. We agree the affected templates and page groups, inspect the current implementation, choose the intended search destinations, and validate approved changes. Product markup should describe the visible products accurately, and duplicate or conflicting theme and app output needs review.
No. Shopify’s discovery tools provide additional routes for eligible products and stores. Participation, accurate data, and accessible content do not guarantee a particular recommendation, Google ranking, or sale. We check channel eligibility, data sources, and storefront settings as part of an agreed scope.
We quote after reviewing catalog complexity, priority collections, markets, theme and app constraints, access, implementation needs, and measurement. Shopify SEO has its own proposal. The published local-service website and SEO package is a different engagement and is not a universal Shopify price.
Clients receive monthly conversion reports focused on traffic, impressions, and conversions. For a store, we agree which purchase and revenue measures are available and meaningful. Communication is by email, text, or WhatsApp as needed. AI agents support research and opportunity analysis; a human validates recommendations and oversees implementation.
